Health Guarantee
Every Pet Therapy kitten goes home with our 1-year genetic-disease guarantee. If a covered hereditary condition is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within 12 months of the take-home date, Pet Therapy will provide a same-price replacement kitten from a future litter at no additional charge.

- Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) with hereditary genetic predisposition documented
- Other serious congenital and hereditary defects diagnosed within 12 months and confirmed by a licensed vet
What's not covered
- Routine illness, parasites, or upper respiratory infections (URI)
- Conditions arising after the 12-month window
- Issues caused by accident, neglect, improper diet, or environmental factors
- Behavioral issues or temperament concerns
- Cosmetic faults that do not affect health
- Conditions developing after spay/neuter recovery complications
How it works
If a covered condition is diagnosed within 12 months:
- Email us the licensed vet's diagnosis report and any supporting tests (echocardiogram, ultrasound, blood work, DNA test, etc.) within 30 days of diagnosis.
- We review the documentation. For complex cases we may request a second opinion from a vet we trust.
- Once confirmed, we offer a same-price replacement kitten from our next available litter. You choose from kittens at or below the original purchase price; we do not charge a difference for waiting.
Important notes
- This guarantee is non-transferable — it applies only to the original buyer.
- We do not refund the original purchase price; the guarantee mechanism is replacement.
- The original kitten remains your responsibility; we do not require the kitten be returned to us in order to fulfill a replacement claim.
- Same-price replacement is from our next available litter of the same breed where possible. If you prefer to wait for a specific pairing, we'll work that out together.
